Politics Unit 2 Research Summary

When we started this new unit I knew very little about how people collect data, I didn't know much about politics myself and found out a lot of others around me and people we asked the questions too didn't know either. Also when we started we had to make a questionnaire which i didn't know how to do before.


The task was to look at a load of data about politics collected by us around the college and at home, this data included an age, what party that person was voting for and how they learn about politics, other questions where if political posters appeal to them or not. We looked at this data and worked on making a summary of it. What people agreed the most on, what people shared the same answers. We then made a few statements, what probably was the reason for someone doing this.

Now after doing this I have learn't a lot more about collecting data and making summaries and statements, I know that a statement is an idea not evidence that is from the data. After doing this unit I know feel able to go out and take what I've learn't to collect data myself if needed. If sometime in the future I need to collect data weather its for College or home life, I know now the best way to do it. I remembered how to get a percentage after not doing Maths for nearly 5 months.
