Pink Analysis

This is my work done on the Pink Music Video

4 characters:

Being president but instead failing, dancing next to 50 cent, really smartly dressed, glasses, suit next to a giant american flag and podium. Next to 50 cent, trashy clothes, failed at life.

Woman at end of vid, wasted life, things is still attractive, trying to be different, changed her body when she was young so now she looks older when shes not.

Woman in car, doesn’t care about others, buying clothes and other accessories only for her, doesn’t care even if people get hurt.

Sex tape, thinks she get popular doing it, shares it on purpose. stupid, too busy texting on phone and taking selfies, doesn’t care about what’s going on .


Costumes, editing, setting, camera shots, etc:

Very quick and snappy shots changing, a lot going on, different types of clothes, a lot of expensive, dirty clothes, inappropriate outfits, very posh areas, quick editing. takes very short, camera movement, very still, nothing really moving area much, a few slow zooms in (example: operation table looking down) but really the camera doesn't’ move much.

Why are these connotations used:

To show how some women at these days, that they act stupid to make people think they are cute just so they can get attention, they do this because they are spoilt or because of their upbringing.

Statement this video is making:

That women have to stop worrying about their appearance and that they are fine the way they are, they have to stop being a ‘Stupid Girl’ hence the title. They need to accept who they are and deal with it. they don’t need to change their body, if they do they will just end up like the old woman at the end of the vid.
