Evaluation: Review My Work And Others
My short animation is good in some areas but I fill like it was very rushed. Its very short and the text is said very quickly. I had to get it done very quickly because of the deadline day. Really I should have done more work outside of College and planned well in advance. This impacted the on the colour which I was planning on adding but rushed it. The only thing in colour is the phone which flashes from blue to green to red to yellow. This sort of works to the point that I was making. It draws attention to the phone which stands out from the greys, blacks and whites.
Some people commented that I made the most of the fact that I'm not the best a drawing but I managed to get character between the different stick people. I think it works really well but could have had more detail on the faces and body to add more expression. However for the purpose of the project, the information is all there and technology works as a short animation.
I asked Kat what she thought and she said 'It was good but short and a little rushed"
After Kat reviewed mine, I reviewed hers: her's was a lot shorter than mine which was a disadvantage but still good. The message was clear and simple. Nothing really bad about it. Seemed like a really good video.
When I started making my animation I didn't really know what to do. I started by putting together the background and coming up with the characters and what they would say. I spent a lot of time testing mouth movements for my characters but in the end I didn't have the features due to the little amount of time, also because it would have been quite complex.
I would have liked to add sound effects but ran out of time. If I could go back I would have added them. I would have added background sound effects of people talking, footsteps and dialog. Also maybe sound effects coming from the phone would drawn your attention to the phone and created humour.
Next time I make an animation I will work on colour and I'll put more time into it. Won't rush it and I'll add sound effects. I enjoyed it (even if I was rushed) I would have liked more time on it. I liked watching videos showing how to do walking animations and I learn't a bit more about Flash and how to create characters.

Colour Theory Harmony
Complementary
Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel are considered to be complementary colors
The high contrast of complementary colors creates a vibrant look especially when used at full saturation. This color scheme must be managed well so it is not jarring.
Complementary colors are tricky to use in large doses, but work well when you want something to stand out.
Complementary colors are really bad for text.
Analogous
Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. They usually match well and create serene and comfortable designs.
Analogous color schemes are often found in nature and are harmonious and pleasing to the eye.
Make sure you have enough contrast when choosing an analogous color scheme.
Choose one color to dominate, a second to support. The third color is used (along with black, white or gray) as an accent.
Triad
A triadic color scheme uses colors that are evenly spaced around the color wheel.
Triadic color harmonies tend to be quite vibrant, even if you use pale or unsaturated versions of your hues.
To use a triadic harmony successfully, the colors should be carefully balanced - let one color dominate and use the two others for accent.
Split-Complementary
The split-complementary color scheme is a variation of the complementary color scheme. In addition to the base color, it uses the two colors adjacent to its complement.
This color scheme has the same strong visual contrast as the complementary color scheme, but has less tension.
The split-complimentary color scheme is often a good choice for beginners, because it is difficult to mess up.
Rectangle (tetradic)
The rectangle or tetradic color scheme uses four colors arranged into two complementary pairs.
This rich color scheme offers plenty of possibilities for variation.
The tetradic color scheme works best if you let one color be dominant.
You should also pay attention to the balance between warm and cool colors in your design.
Square
The square color scheme is similar to the rectangle, but with all four colors spaced evenly around the color circle.
The square color scheme works best if you let one color be dominant.
You should also pay attention to the balance between warm and cool colors in your design.

All the information I found was from this website http://www.tigercolor.com/color-lab/color-theory/color-harmonies.htm

My Storyboard For Steve Animation Project
I did try to scan it in on the day I made it but it didn't work so I took a photo of it. Hopefully It helps
Work With Steve
Today we went out around town and took photos of text.
We then edited the text and mashed them up in Photoshop

Steve's Animation Project
This is the final version of my short advert to stop people using phones in class by explaining the rules to them, what you can and cannot do.
This took me a week to come up with an idea and a few weeks editing and perfecting

Two Animations
Walking Animation Test
Driving Animation Test
I made this in Adobe Flash, that includes the buildings and vehicles. There is also a lot of depth even thought they are all flat objects
This was linked to a safety for driving advert campaign and what not to do.
(These two were tests done in lesson and took 2 hours, an hour each)

My Plot For Short Mobile Phone Advert
My Plot
Starts of with a kid in a class room, he is texting on his phone, then the teacher comes over and says "you can't go on your phone in class, you need to focus on the work", then he gives the phone back and the kid asks, what if it is an emergency. The teacher replies with "If you need to call a family member or something has happened at the college and you need to call 999, then that is ok. It is also ok to use your phone to help you with your work like using the calculator on your phone or researching something.

Work In Flash
Work In Flash
We have recently been working in flash on stop motion, we have learnt about how to make key frames, changing the background colour and changing the frame rate, we've also learn't about onion skin and brush tools.

Graphs Of Questionnaire
These are a few graphs of the research we got from students around the college, the first pie chart is the number of people who do vote yellow being no, 8 said yes. The second pie chart is the gender, 23 male, 26 female, 4 didn't answer. The first bar chart is the age of everyone, the second bar chart is how well you know politics on a scale from 1-5

K'Nex Research
![]() |
| Company Logo |
K'Nex was founded in 1992 by a man called Joel Glickman.
The good thing about this product is that its a bit more creative then products like lego. Your making the structure of something like a building or a vehicle. Your making the outline of something. This also can go to any size it wants, it has no limit. The bad thing is you can't make walls or doors very well. Also the parts are small which means they aren't good for young children cause they could swallow them and injury themselves. Another disadvantage is the colour, you don't get to choose the colour you use, depending on what time of connector you use depends on what colour you get.
Its very popular and is know all around the world, its often seen in children classrooms at school and in houses with children in.
From the research I have gathered I can tell that its mainly aimed at children between the age of 5-11 but of course can be played with by anyone above 5. Any under and they could choke on the small parts.
